Premier TSS FAQs

Premier TSS (Tungsten Super Shot) is loaded with dense tungsten pellets. These pellets are rated at an 18.0g/cc of density. What does this mean for you? This results in excellent terminal performance from a smaller shot size, high pellet count payloads, and excellent retained energy and patterns at distant ranges, extending your effective range. TSS loads outperform traditional lead or copper-plated lead loads.

The Premier TSS family includes 12-gauge ammo, 20-gauge ammo, and 410-bore ammo. The load specs for the 12 gauge consist of a #7 or #9 in a 1-3/4 OZ payload. The smaller 20-gauge is available in the same shot sizes, just with a 1-1/2 Oz payload. Last but not least, our 410 load, it is loaded in a #9 and packed with a 13/16oz payload. Before heading into the woods, be sure to pattern your turkey gun so you know your effective range.

Due to its greater density, tungsten shot maintains more energy over distances, which makes smaller shot sizes viable. Smaller shot size enables higher pellet counts in your patterns, increasing the odds of a clean harvest, especially at extended distances.

As long as your choke selection is rated for the shot metal and your shell matches the gauge shell length on your shotgun, it is safe. Always check your firearm’s manual before loading to ensure safe and reliable performance.
