RP 12 is back
I've been substituting sub-performance Winchester and Claybuster wads to make the 1 3/8 oz #5 pheasant loads and to make the #6 loads that are so useful for chasing long-range scattered scaled quail in desert New Mexico. But the best loads, based on listed velocity and personal experience, contain either a RP 12 or SP12 wad with a heaping cup of Blue Dot to break 1300 ft/second. These wads are tops for bismuth, too. Just ordered 5 bags, reducing the original order after my kids reminded me that a lifetime supply doesn't require the shelf space that it once did! I'll repost after 1250 shots are fired!
