Sloppy Joes on Cornbread

1 tablespoon olive oil
1/2 pound ground venison
1/4 cup chopped onion
1/4 cup chopped bell pepper
1/2 cup chopped celery
1 large carrot, grated
1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
1/4 cup ketchup
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce

Brown ground venison and onion in olive oil in a skillet. Add all other ingredients and simmer for 15-20 minutes until vegetables are tender and sauce has thickened. Serve over hot cornbread. Hamburger buns may be used if preferred. Serves 2.
