Rabbit Casserole

1 young rabbit, cut in serving pieces
1/4 cup flour
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/4 teaspoon marjoram
1/2 teaspoon monosodium glutamate
6 slices bacon, cut in squares
4 medium potatoes, pared and sliced thin
2 small onions, sliced
2 bouillon cubes
2 1/2 cups hot water

Dip rabbit pieces in a mixture of flour, salt and pepper, marjoram, and monosodium glutamate, and let stand for a moment. Fry bacon slowly until lightly brown, the remove from pan and pour off half the fat. Brown rabbit in remaining bacon fat, then transfer to casserole. Cover with potato and onion slices. Sprinkle lightly with remaining seasoned flour. Dissolve bouillon cubes in hot water and add to casserole. Cover and cook in 350°F. oven 2 hours. Remove and cover for 15 minutes to brown. Serve with bacon. Serves 4-5.
