Madison, N.C. – For nearly sixty
years, whether serving duty with the nation’s military, law
enforcement or with millions of hunters in the field, the Model
870 has stood the test of time with absolute reliability and
rugged durability. New for 2008, Remington is excited to
announce the Model 870 Tactical Desert Recon.
The Tactical Desert Recon comes “ready for action”, straight out
of the box. This Model 870 series is equipped with Tiger Stripe
Products® Digital Tiger™ TSP Desert camo stocks and fore-ends in
both SPEEDFEED® I (shell holding) or SPEEDFEED IV (pistol grip)
configurations. For a distinctive, functional appearance, both
versions feature durable military-style olive drab powder-coated
barrels and receivers.
To round out this unique tactical package, the Desert Recon
Series provides a choice of 18 or 20-inch barrels and two- or
three-shot magazine-tube extensions. To reduce muzzle jump and
recoil, both Desert Recon models are fitted with our new ported
Tactical Extended Rem® Choke tube.
