New for 2008, Remington is excited to introduce the Model 870 SPS ShurShot Super Magnum Turkey and Model 870 SPS ShurShot Fully-Rifled Cantilever.

The Model 870 SPS ShurShot Super Magnum Turkey was designed with avid turkey hunters in mind. It’s covered in Realtree® APG HD® camo and is chambered for 23/4, 3 or 31/2-inch magnum shells. Now featuring our new ShurShot™ synthetic pistol-grip stock, the updated Model 870™ SPS ShurShot™ Synthetic Turkey offers both right-and left-handed hunters lightweight shooting comfort and handling ease. With this stock in your grip, repositioning for the shot is quick and efficient, plus the position of your hand naturally diffuses recoil. The 23-inch barrel offers awesome maneuverability, while the fully adjustable TRUGLO® fiber-optic sights and an extended Wingmaster HD™ Turkey Rem® Choke maximize pattern placement.

The Model 870 SPS ShurShot Synthetic Fully Rifled Cantilever shotgun puts exceptional accuracy and swift handling characteristics in the hands of left- and right-handed deer hunters. The heavy duty cantilever mount provides a solid platform for optics and the fully rifled 23-inch barrel maximizes long range accuracy with today’s high-performance sabot slugs. For added concealment, the stock and fore-end are completely covered in Realtree Hardwoods HD®.

Remington’s new ShurShot stock is loaded with design features that will allow hunters to maximize the performance of their shotguns by providing rock-solid precision aiming with dramatically reduced felt recoil. The ShurShot stock combines lightweight synthetic construction with a Remington exclusive, ambidextrous thumbhole-style pistol grip with raised comb, perfect for use with optics or fixed sights.

Each ShurShot stock is fitted with Remington’s new revolutionary SuperCell™ recoil pad. The SuperCell utilizes an interlocking matrix of millions of proprietary polyurethane “SuperCells” to harness and release energy over a much longer time period, resulting in dramatically reduced felt recoil when shooting hard-hitting loads. All ShurShot SPS stocks are supplied with molded-in swivel studs.
