everything hunters admire about the legendary Model 700, all at
an extremely affordable price. From the rock-solid receiver
design to the famous “three rings of steel”, the Model 700 SPS
offers the unrivaled out-of-the-box accuracy and high-end
performance you've come to expect from America’s most popular
bolt-action centerfire rifle. New for 2008, the Model 700 SPS
and Model 700 SPS Stainless will be available in the
high-performance 7mm Remington Ultra Magnum.
At velocities over 3400fps, the 7mm Remington Ultra Magnum is
one of the flattest-shooting big game cartridges available to
hunters; not to mention the complete versatility available with
the our new 7mm Remington Ultra Magnum Power Level™ ammunition.
Its “Three Guns in One” adaptability allows hunters the ability
to quickly tailor their loads to provide performance levels of
full-bore 7mm Remington Ultra Magnum, 7mm Remington Magnum and
270Win/280 Remington.
The Model 700 SPS features an improved, ergonomically designed
synthetic stock for better handling and enhanced overall
functionality. Both carbon and stainless steel barrels are clean
without sights and receivers are drilled and tapped for scope
mounts. All exterior metalwork features a matte bead-blasted
finish. Standard features also include a patented Remington
recoil pad, a hinged floor plate magazine, and swivel studs.
