Madison, N.C. – The tremendously-popular line of Model 700 CDL (Classic Deluxe) SF (Stainless Fluted) bolt-action rifles has a new chambering for 2008 – the high performance 257 Weatherby Magnum. This new offering joins the 2007 CDL SF introductory chamberings in 7mm-08 Remington, 270 Win, 30-06 Sprg, 7mm Remington Mag, 270 WSM and 300 WSM.

The Model 700 CDL is a classically-styled hunting rifle, based on the highly accurate Model 700 bolt-action platform, renowned for its “three rings of steel” design delivering unparalleled strength; solid-steel cylindrical receiver design providing a solid bedding area and consistent shot placement; and our new X-Mark Pro™ trigger, with its mirror-like surfaces and adjustable pull weight, provides an ultra crisp feel and no creep.

This version of the Model 700 has a traditional straight comb American walnut stock with right-handed cheek piece. Adding to the classic look of this handsome stock are generous cut checkering, black fore-end tip and grip cap and satin finish. The durable receiver and barrel are machined from solid 416 stainless steel and feature a satin finish. The clean magnum contour 26-inch barrel features our Light Varmint-style fluting for weight reduction and heat dissipation. Other features include jeweled bolt; hinged floorplate with four-round magazine capacity; recoil-softening, patented Remington recoil pad; receiver drilled and tapped for scope mounts; and sling swivel studs.
