Madison, N.C. – The successful 2007
introduction of 300 Remington Ultra Mag Power Level Ammunition
provided hunters with unprecedented levels of versatility within a
single centerfire rifle cartridge. New for 2008, Remington has
expanded this remarkable concept to cover another popular member of
the Ultra Mag family of cartridges with the introduction of 7mm
Remington Ultra Magnum Power Level Ammunition.
Remington Power Level Ammunition offers hunters multiple performance
levels within one firearm, which normally would only be attainable
by switching guns and calibers. Most hunters are familiar with the12
ga. 3-1/2” Super Magnum shotgun which, using 2-3/4”, 3” and 3-1/2”
shells, is capable of delivering three performance levels in one
firearm platform. Now, for the first time, this concept is being
brought to the world of centerfire rifle hunting.
One Gun, One Cartridge - 3 Performance Levels
Power Level III is the Full Power 7mm Remington Ultra Mag
for big, tough game at Extreme Ranges. The 7mm Ultra Mag defines the
performance standard for all 7mm Caliber Hunting Cartridges. It is
the highest velocity, flattest shooting, and hardest hitting 7mm
caliber magnum cartridge made by any of the Big 3 manufacturers.
Power Level II duplicates the performance 7mm Remington
Magnum- one of the most popular magnum calibers ever. This level
is designed to take medium and large big game animals at Extended
Ranges. Power Level II offers reduced velocity, energy and recoil
levels when the extreme performance of Power Level III ammunition is
not required.
Power Level I offers 270 Win / 280 Remington Caliber
performance for medium sized big game animals at Long Range.
Power Level I offers reduced velocity, energy and recoil levels when
the magnum performance of Power Level III or Power Level II
ammunition is not required, perfect for the deer woods, or the
practice range.
