FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Remington Introduces the Model 770  and Model 770 Youth - an Upgraded Version of the Accurate and Dependable Model 710

Madison, NC – The Model 710 bolt-action rifle set the bar high with its stellar accuracy and dependability when it was launched in 2001. This moderately-priced and well-designed line of centerfire rifles became one of our best sellers. Now Remington is pleased to announce the next generation of dependable, highly accurate bolt-action centerfire rifles – the Model 770 available in seven popular calibers and the Model 770 Youth chambered in .243 Win. Both the standard and youth model are equipped with a factory-mounted and boresighted Bushnell® SHARPSHOOTER® 3-9x40mm scope. Grab a box of ammo and you are ready for the range!

The Model 770 rifle retains the reliable and technologically-advanced Model 710 barreled action design and all-steel receiver. The 22-inch clean barrels (24-inch barrels in magnum calibers) are constructed of ordnance-grade steel with six-groove, button-rifling for enhanced accuracy. The redesigned all steel bolt cams easier with a quick-cycling 60-degree throw and when fully engaged in the forward position, it locks securely inside the barrel for unprecedented strength. The center-feed steel magazine box has a four round capacity (three round capacity for magnum calibers) and features a redesigned, more durable magazine latch design. What truly sets this rifle apart from its predecessor is the re-designed, ergonomically contoured stock. This well-designed black synthetic stock features sling swivel studs formed into the stock; raised cheekpiece; textured grips for solidhandling; and distinctive “R” logo on the grip cap. Completing this impressive package is a pre-mounted and bore-sighted 3-9x40 matte black scope, utilizing heavy-duty Weaver-style bases and rings.

The standard Model 770 is available in .243 Win, .270 Win, .30-06 Sprg, 7mm Rem Mag, .300 Win Mag and two new caliber offerings – 7mm-08 Rem and .308 Win.

The Youth version has a 12 3/8-inch length of pull (1-inch shorter than standard model) and more compact 20-inch barrel for easy-handling by the young hunter or smaller stature adult. Available in .243 Win only.

If you want a highly accurate, dependable rifle that is ready to hunt, right out of the box - look for the new Remington® Model 770 and Model 770 Youth bolt-action rifles at your local dealer’s today or visit our web site at www.remington.com. Available at a suggested retail price of $452.
