The Model 700 VL SS TH has all of the legendary performance
features of the Model 700 platform.
Rigid cylindrical receiver milled from a solid bar of steel,
providing consistent shot to shot placement. The
“three-rings-of-steel” design (counterbored bolt face encloses
the cartridge head with an unbroken ring of steel,
which then fits inside of the chamber, surrounded by the
receiver) provides for unparalleled strength. The new
Remington X-MARK PRO™ trigger provides for crisper trigger pull
and now lower trigger pull settings direct
from the factory with exceptionally fast lock time. The
hammer-forged, heavy contour barrels further enhance
long range accuracy.
This newest edition to the Varmint line-up begins with a brown
laminated wood, thumbhole-style stock designed
with many performance-enhancing features including vent cuts
under the barrel channel for improved heat
dissipation; beavertail fore-end for added stability;
comfortable rollover cheekpiece; and convenient sling
swivel studs. This highly-functional stock design provides for
rock-steady grip and the tack-driving accuracy
required for long range, high volume shooting. The addition of a
convenient four-round capacity hinged
floorplate magazine allows for quick follow-up shots and the
26-inch stainless steel barrel has a concave
target-style crown and heavy contour design for rigidity. Both
receiver and barrel sport a satin finish.
