Madison, NC – Since
the introduction of the Remington® Model 700 Special Purpose
Synthetic (SPS) family of centerfire rifles in 2005, these
durable, highly functional bolt actions have quickly become a
favorite with hunters and shooters worldwide. New for 2007,
Remington is pleased to partner with Buckmasters on the
introduction of special edition Model 700 SPS Buckmasters and
Model 700 SPS Buckmasters Young Bucks rifles. Setting these
logo versions apart from the standard Model 700 SPS line are a
specially-engraved floorplate and fully-camouflged
stock. The Buckmasters edition is available in six traditional
chamberings - .243 Win, 7mm-08, .270 Win, .30-06 Sprg, 7mm Rem
Mag, .300 Win Mag and the Buckmasters Young Bucks edition in
.243 Win.
The rigid design of the Model 700 receiver, machined from a
solid steel bar, is the core of the Model 700 SPS. This combined
with the famous “three-rings-of-steel” design which completely
supports the cartridge; make the Model 700 one of the most
reliable and accurate actions available. The Model 700 SPS has
an ergonomically designed synthetic stock with defined grips and
features the recoil-reducing R3® Recoil Pad. Unique to these
special edition rifles are stocks fully camouflaged with
Realtree Hardwoods® HD™ and convenient hinged floorplate
magazines that are engraved with the Buckmasters logo. The clean
carbon steel barrels come in 24- inch length for standard
caliber offerings and in a 26-inch length for magnum calibers
and feature a matte blued finish. These durable bolt action
rifles are drilled and tapped for ease of scope mounting and
have sling swivelstuds.
The Buckmasters Young Bucks rifle shares the same great features
but is designed to fit the younger or smaller stature shooter
with a one-inch shorter length of pull and more compact 20-inch
barrel for proper counterbalance with the shorter and lighter
stock. These special edition Youth rifles have the Realtree-camouflaged
stocks and Buckmasters logo engraved on the floorplate.
Available only in .243 Win.
“Deer hunting is the first choice of most hunters across the
country and the majority of those hunters look to Remington for
their firearms’ needs,” stated Jackie Bushman, Founder and CEO,
Buckmasters Ltd. “Buckmasters and Remington have had a
long-standing relationship and it is only natural that we
partner on these special Buckmasters Edition rifles.”
Remington and Buckmasters are synonymous with deer hunting. Who
better to bring you the ultimate whitetail gun? The Model 700
SPS Buckmasters Edition and the Model 700 SPS Buckmasters
Young Bucks Edition rifles are available at suggested retail
prices of $665
