Senior Programmer Analyst - Madison, NC

Remington Arms is the leading manufacturer and seller of Sporting Firearms, Ammunition and Accessories in the country.  We currently have openings for two Senior Programmer Analysts in our Madison, NC location.

Primary Responsibilities

Reviews, analyzes, and modifies programming to include coding, testing, debugging and installing programs to support business applications.  Gathers requirements from Analysts, creates programming specifications, and writes code.

Assists in analyzing and evaluating existing or proposed systems, and devises computer programs, systems and related procedures to process data. 

• Prepares charts and diagrams to assist in problem analysis, and submits recommendations for solution.
• Prepares program specifications and diagrams, and develops coding logic flowcharts.
• Communicates clearly both verbally and in writing.  Can articulate a system issue and the proposed solution easily to all levels of the organization.
• Acts as a primary input for subsequent build activities and is sought out as a subject matter expert.
• Schedules and leads meetings.  
• Train junior level personnel in technical complexities of assigned work. 
• Works with minimum supervision, conferring with supervisor only on unusual matters.  May be assisted by a Programmer Analyst.
• Assignments are broad in nature, usually requiring originality and ingenuity.
• Has latitude for un-reviewed actions or decisions.

• Bachelor's degree in a computer-related field (such as Computer Programming or MIS) or equivalent experience
• At least 6-8 years of experience in the required programming language such as ABAP, .NET Framework, MS Visual Studio, HTML and ASP (Active Server Pages)
• Software engineering and system design
• Relational Database Design
• Object-oriented programming techniques
• Solid working knowledge of personal computers including Windows XP and Microsoft Office, i.e., Word, Excel, Access, etc.
