Remington Arms is the leading manufacturer and seller of Sporting Firearms, Ammunition and Accessories in the country. We currently have an opening for a Customer Service Representative – Law Enforcement/Military.

Customer Service Representative – Law Enforcement/Military

Insures superior customer service to our Law Enforcement and Military customers.

Primary Responsibilities
 

•  Works in a team environment supporting assigned customers, in order to provide 100% World Class Customer Service. (90% of the responsibilities involve professionally composing/responding to emails, entering orders and telephone communications).

• Supports Freedom Group’s various channels of sales and distribution for Remington, Marlin and H&R products (others as added).

• Enters orders and returns within a 24 hour timeframe.

• Creates/edits Customer Profiles for assigned accounts.

• Maintains accurate and uniform filing system in accordance with policies and procedures.

• Provides required documentation to Team Leader and Manager as requested (i.e. hand pricing, deviations, credit, re-bills etc.).

• Responds to customer inquiries regarding pricing, product availability and order shipping status.

• Relays information to sales representatives and customers about specific orders and order status.

• Works within Law Enforcement Contract process and maintains accurate files of awarded contracts to insure customer is billed correctly.

• Maintains order status on all open orders for customers.

• Coordinates and facilitates customer order shipments from order entry through delivery to customer.

• Works with the various warehouses to insure product is being released and shipped in a timely manner.

• Maintains an open line of communication with customers, sales team, credit, plant locations and various business units within the organization and with external service providers.

• Demonstrates strong commitment to achieving departmental and company goals.

• Works cooperatively and effectively as a team player.

• Stays current and proactively pursues all active promotions with customers.

• Mentors, coaches and trains new hires.

• Works to improve knowledge and create relationships with customers and recommend new ways to provide service and support.

• Maintains up-to-date knowledge of policies and procedures through the review of departmental correspondence, email messages, direction from management and Sales Department, and Customer Feedback (profiles).

• Works cooperatively and effectively to support internal customers.

• Performs special job responsibilities assigned by Team Leader or Management.

• Handles incoming and outgoing phone calls in a timely manner.

• Travels to and works at industry related trade shows or with customers as needed.
 

Skills and Education
 

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Ability to understand and utilize prescribed Regulations (BATF) in shipping controlled items within the U.S.

• Ability to understand and utilize deviation and pricing programs.

• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.

• Ability to write simple correspondence.

• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.

• Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

• Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

• To perform this job successfully, an individual must have working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook software; Internet and SAP (strongly preferred) order processing system or similar order processing system.

• Working knowledge of firearms preferred, but not required.
