Remington Arms is the leading manufacturer and seller of Sporting Firearms, Ammunition and Accessories in the country. We currently have an opening for a Channel Marketing Manager.

Channel Marketing Manager (NRA, Ihea, BSA)

Responsible for the management and growth of the profit and loss statement through execution of promotions and key marketing initiatives and will help support the overall business and channel strategy by uncovering new product and promotional opportunities by channel.

Primary Responsibilities

• Works with wholesalers, distributors and chain accounts to identify key product categories, manage the execution of new product launches and develop promotional programs in accordance with sales and profitability targets.

• Works closely with National Sales Managers, manages the ongoing forecasting of new and existing products taking into account launch timing, advertising and other relevant market variables.

• Conducts competitive market analysis to formulate recommendations for product positioning and promotional strategies to ensure performance in line with company sales and profitability targets.

• Recommends and implements promotional plans to support the new product in line with company budgets.

• Responsible for channel forecasts by product category.

• Aids in packaging and merchandising decisions.

• Serves as a primary interface between sales and product management.

• Assists sales with presentations to customers.

 

Skills and Education
 

• Bachelor's degree from a four-year accredited college or university and three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Master's degree preferred.

• Significant knowledge of channels of distribution (Commercial, Retail an Superstores)

• Experience with creative development processes and program execution.

• Highly organized and very strong, proven project management skills.

• Proven performance to create programs to pull product through channel distribution (Commercial, Retail and Superstores).

• Sound analytical skills and accute attention to details, adept at creative thinking and problem solving.

• Ability to work independently and effectively across functions.

• Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.

• Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.

• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

• Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.

• Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

• Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

• To perform this job successfully, an individual must be proficient with using Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word and Access Software and the Internet.
