Welcome From Remington Country:

On behalf of everyone at Remington it is my pleasure to welcome all of you to our website. I hope you are enjoying all the great changes we have made over the past year which, I might add, are all designed to give you the best in hunting and shooting information when you want it twenty four hours a day seven days a week. Enjoy!

As you may have heard, lots of things are happening in Remington Country! As you look through our family of websites, it is my sincere hope that our passion for the shooting sports begun almost 200 years ago by our founder Eliphalet Remington is clearly apparent to each of you.

During the last five years we have attempted to solve more of your product needs than at any time in our history. Through a combination of great domestic factories in Ilion, New York, Lonoke, Arkansas, Mayfield, Kentucky, and Findlay, Ohio together with thoughtful global sourcing initiatives we are now able to participate in new product segments that had been previously unattainable to Remington. Our Model 799/798 Mauser rifles, the entire SPR family of O/U’s and our Genesis line of Muzzleloaders are but a few examples of our successful globalization strategy. In 2008, we will take this strategy to an even higher level with the new USA made line of tactical hunting rifles.

In ammunition, we have created the finest Target Load in the world-the STS family of products, the best non toxic shotshell products in the market-the Wingmaster HD family, and we have led the industry in managed recoil centerfire rifle cartridges. I hope you enjoy reading about these and other new ammunition initiatives as you peruse these pages.

Our simple wish is to provide each of you with a Remington, and everything we stand for, every time you head to the field. I know that as you look through these pages and see the great products we put together the only problem you will face is finding room in the gun safe for a few more guns…

As we look past 2008, we all must remain politically vigilant! Those who wish to destroy our enjoyment of hunting wild game have not gone anywhere. They are alive and well and are depending on our apathy so that they may win this fight. My advice is simple; know your local political scene, be an activist in your community for hunting and shooting and most of all vote.
