The Model 700 Varmint SF has all of the legendary performance features of the Model 700 platform. Rigid cylindrical receiver milled from a solid bar of steel, providing consistent shot-to-shot placement. Dependable “three-rings-of-steel” design (counterbored bolt face encloses the cartridge head with an unbroken ring of steel, which then fits inside of the chamber and is surrounded by the receiver) provides for unparalleled strength. These performance-designed features combined with the accuracy-enhancing features of the Remington Varmint line, make these rifles the most accurate models we produce.

The 26-inch hammer-forged, heavy contour 416 stainless steel barrel is fluted for weight reduction while maintaining rigidity and promotes rapid cooling.  The concave dish crown protects the rifling lands and promotes tack-driving accuracy.  The rugged, black synthetic stock has Hogue® overmolded grip panels for a sure grip; vented beavertail fore-end that allows air to flow around the barrel; and is fit with our SuperCell™ Recoil Pad to reduce shooter fatigue.  Dual front swivel studs and rear stud allow for attachment of sling and bipod.  Hinged floorplate, receiver drilled and tapped for ease of mounting optics and polished finish on exposed metalwork complete the package.

Like all new Model 700 rifles, the Model 700 Varmint SF is equipped with our new X-Mark Pro™ Adjustable trigger. The advanced design allows for consistent 3 ½ pound trigger pulls set directly from the factory. Should you feel the need; the trigger can be externally adjusted within a range of 2 pounds (3 to 5 pounds) with the included tool.
