Now with the introduction of Remington’s popular Model 700 Special Purpose Synthetic (SPS) bolt-action rifle in a left-handed version, you can have a solid performer in your hunting arsenal!  For 2009, the Model 700 SPS Left Hand is chambered in the four top-selling, big game calibers – 270 Win, 30-06 Sprg, 7mm Remington Magnum and 300 Win Mag.

At the core of this rifle is the rigid design of the Model 700 receiver, machined from a solid steel bar. This combined with the famous “three-rings-of-steel” design which completely supports the cartridge make the Model 700 one of the strongest and most accurate actions available. 

Performance-enhancing features of the SPS rifle include a 24-inch hammer-forged, carbon steel barrel; ergonomically-designed, matte black synthetic stock with distinct grip areas; recoil-dampening, patented SuperCell™ Recoil Pad; and new for 2009, the new X-Mark Pro™ Adjustable trigger. The advanced design allows for consistent 3 ½ pound trigger pulls set directly from the factory. Should you feel the need; the trigger can be externally adjusted within a range of 2 pounds (3 to 5 pounds) with the included tool. The two-position safety is conveniently located on the left side of the receiver.

Standard features include receivers drilled and tapped for mounting optics; hinged floorplate with four-round capacity in 270 Win and 30-06 Sprg and three-round in magnum offerings; non-reflective matte blue finish on exposed metalwork; and front and rear sling swivel studs.
