Madison, NC – Remington is pleased to announce the fourth annual offering in the limited edition CDL SF series -  the Model 700 CDL (Classic Deluxe) SF (Stainless Fluted) Ltd Edition chambered in 257 Roberts, known as the compromising 25 caliber for its low recoil, flat trajectory, yet potent on-game performance. Remington introduced a commercial version of this 25 caliber wildcat, credited to Ned Roberts, in 1934, and with this limited edition 2009 offering, Remington celebrates the 75th Anniversary of this medium-sized, big game cartridge. From varmint hunting to most large North American game animals, the 257 Roberts is a solid performer and is a perfect match for the legendary Model 700 bolt action platform.

Like its predecessors, the 2009 Model 700 CDL SF Ltd Edition features commemorative engraving on the hinged floorplate, wears the “Model 700 Limited and 75th Anniversary” rollmark on the receiver and is available in limited production quantities for one year only. Previous chamberings include the inaugural offering in 30-06 Sprg in 2006; introduction of the 17 Remington Fireball cartridge in 2007; and last year’s 260 Remington offering.
                                               
The Model 700 CDL SF LTD Edition is housed in a satin finished, straight comb American walnut stock with right-handed cheek piece.  Enhancing the classic look of the stock are generous cut checkering, contrasting black fore-end tip and grip cap. The durable 416 stainless steel, magnum-contoured 24-inch clean barrel features fluting for weight reduction and striking appearance. The barreled action and jeweled bolt both feature a satin stainless finish. Other standard features include receiver drilled and tapped for scope mounts; four round magazine capacity; sling swivel studs; and our patented SuperCell™ Recoil Pad. Performance-driven features added to this offering include our accuracy-enhancing, new X-Mark Pro™ Adjustable trigger. The advanced design allows for consistent 3 ½ pound trigger pulls set directly from the factory. Should you feel the need; the trigger can be externally adjusted within a range of 2 pounds (3 to 5 pounds) with the included tool.
