28 for twentyeight Submitted: Nov 01, 2009 In 1981 I talked my wife into buying me a Woodsmaster 742 in 30-06 as I had other 30-06 rifles all bolt-action, and I wanted an auto-loader. After purchasing my rifle I headed to my range and sighted-in my new rifle. 9 shots and I was zeroed perfectly, I am careful not to bang my rifles around if I can help it, and obviously it helps, as I have over the years shot this rifle 28 times and 28 times either trophies or meat made it home. 1 shot 1 kill, (some multiples). This 742 has done everything I had purchased it to do. Looking forward to the day I give it to my Grandson so he can keep the tradition.
