To Be My Granddads Pallbearer
Submitted: Oct 26, 2009

My Granddad gave all his grandsons a gun when they turned 15 years old. I was staying on his farm in 1965-1966 to help him and grandma. During this stay, I turned 15 and he gave me a 35 Remington model 141 Gamemaster. I can't put into words how excited I was. He gave me the rifle and said it was mine if I would be a pallbearer at his funeral. Other stipulations were, not to loan it to anyone other than family, never to sell or trade it and not to ever use it as a walking stick . Needless to say I have treasured this Remington ever since and will pass it down to one of my grandsons someday.
