Shooting Sports Specialist – Gun Club Products

Provides assistance to the Gun Club Products Sales Manager by implementing marketing and sales strategies for shooting sports.

Primary Responsibilities

• Communicates with Shooting Sports customers regarding products and sales issues.
• Coordinates with customers on product availability.
• Assists in developing marketing tools for all shooting sports activities and products.
• Coordinates orders for FGI/Cerberus member clubs/ranges.
• Coordinates POP product development with vendors, managing deadlines and designs.
• Manages Shooting Sports calendar to ensure all major events are covered for FGI exposure
• Manages display buildings in San Antonio, TX and Sparta, IL with product & personnel.
• Manages ammunition inventory for the shell house, at National Shooting Complex in San Antonio, TX and WSRC in Sparta, IL (Grand American).
• Identifies new Shooting Sports/Range Program customers for FGI.
• Assists with relationship between FGI companies and all shooting associations including, but not limited to; NSCA, NSSA, ATA, NSSF, NRA and CMP.
• Assists with Remington Bushmaster rifle team needs – Ordering supplies/ammunition/gear, coordinates event sponsorship and attends events.
• Assists with billing and invoicing issues with customers and vendors.
• Places promotional ads in shooting sports event programs for all shooting events.
• Manages shooting sports event promotions and sponsorships.
• Coordinates SNC/VIP orders for sponsorship/events


 

Skills and Education
 

• Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or University; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations.

• Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.

• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public.

• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume.

• Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.

• Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

• In order to perform this job successfully, the individual will have working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel Spreadsheet software.

• Demonstrated knowledge of the clay target sport.

• Ability to travel domestically 65-75% while working with Shooting Associations, Wholesalers, Shooting Clubs and Ranges.
